Customs regulations

Switzerland is a member of the European free trade area EFTA and integrated into the efforts to unite Europe through various agreements with the European Union (EU). With exceptions of agricultural products and some less sensitive product groups, a practically normal free trade zone exists between the EU and other EFTA countries.

Regulations differ depending on the land of origin or the destination of a product. For this reason we refer you to the official homepage of the federal customs authorities. (german)

Switzerland is divided into four customs regions. Customs region II, with its direction headquarters in Schaffhausen, is the largest of these regions in Switzerland and includes the Grisons.
