The Cantonal Archives have several collections of plans:
- Old collections with local and cadastre plans, road and railway plans, plans of avalanche and rockfall paths, plans of historic buildings and churches.
- Civil Engineering Office - Public Works plans of road building and river corrections.
- Civil Engineering Office - Overground plans of buildings owned by the canton.
- Plans and aerial photographs from the Melioration Office
- Architects’ estates
Individual plans are also included in other archive holdings like the cantonal archive and non-official archives.
The oldest plans date from the late 18th century.
